Peek Inside the Lab is a comic book created with biomedical engineer Namita Khanjanchi at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Together we hosted a series of workshops for scientists to tell stories and make art about their professional work, exploring the affordances of art for science communication. We adapted stories generated in those workshops into short comics with participants’ permission. We compiled this scrapbook-style publication to document the collaboration and offer windows into the research of six scientists across disciplines.
